The Price
of Going Global.

The cheapest EOR is not the one with the lowest monthly number. It is the one whose limits you discover before the employee does.

Global hiring makes a seductive promise: one person, one country, one monthly fee. The invoice is simple. The employment relationship is not.

Payoneer Workforce Management and Remote People both enter where a founder has no local entity but needs a real employee or a properly managed contractor. They differ less in the existence of the service than in the wager beneath it: breadth of engagement models, or cost discipline with a direct offer.

A low platform fee is not a low employment cost. Salary, statutory contributions, benefits and local obligations still arrive in full.

Opening Statement

Calculate the employee cost first. Then ask what the provider fee buys: the legal employer, local contract, payroll, offboarding, classification support and a human being who answers when the country says no.

Payoneer WFM offers EOR, Agent of Record and contractor management across 160+ countries. That three-model structure matters. A contractor who should remain a contractor is not automatically a future employee; the correct arrangement is part of the compliance decision.

Exhibit A: Payoneer WFM Is a Workforce Platform

Payoneer’s advantage is not its older payments brand. It is the option to manage employees, contractors and the in-between classification question in one operating layer, with payroll in multiple currencies and finance integrations. The Workforce Management guide is the right place to see that wider architecture.

Payoneer wins when
Your workforce is mixed.

Employees, contractors, currencies and approvals need to coexist without inventing a separate process for each.

Exhibit B: Remote People Makes Price a Claim

Remote People puts its EOR starting price — $199 per employee per month — at the centre of the proposition. That is useful, not suspicious. Transparent fees, no setup fee and monthly flexibility give a small team a clean starting point. Its own pricing makes clear that salaries and statutory employer contributions are separate. Good. They should be.

The real question is country-specific: does the quote cover the employment arrangement you need, in the market you are entering, with the support you will require on the difficult day rather than the sales call? Motion dismissed for any comparison that skips that question.

Verdict

Choose Remote People when the team is small, the price discipline is real and the country quote is transparent enough to make the decision boring. Boring is a compliment in payroll.

Choose Payoneer WFM when the workforce is more varied and you want EOR, AOR and contractor operations to share one record. It is not merely cheaper or dearer. It is a wider operating model.

The verdict

Remote People for the clean, affordable hire. Payoneer WFM for the workforce that refuses to stay in one box.

Do not outsource judgment with employment. The provider can carry the process; you still own the decision. Nothing further.

The Last Word
The Passenger — Iggy Pop

Going global should not make the founder a passenger in their own employment decisions.
